Larry first appeared in artist Geri Perna’s backyard, where he landed on her and placed his trust in her hands. Geri soon discovered that Larry had lost part of a wing and could no longer fly. She brought him inside, made him a safe home, and began caring for him.
Despite everything that had happened to him, Larry’s determination to live never faded. His courage, trust, and remarkable spirit became the inspiration for this original drawing by Geri Perna—and a reminder that even when life changes our path, there is strength in finding the courage to continue.
